Payment by Stripe, BACS or by cheque is required at the time of submitting your ticket booking form. Tickets are only guaranteed and issued once payment has been received. The only exception applies to corporate tickets intended to be purchased by your employer, where an invoice for your accounts department is requested on the booking form. In these circumstances, full payment must be received from your employer within 7 days of submitting your booking form. If payment is not received within this timeframe, your tickets will not be secured and at the absolute discretion of Rafiki Thabo Foundation may be released for general sale.

Ticket availability. We will update our event page with immediate effect once all tickets are sold. In the event you submit a booking and process a payment transfer immediately prior to, or after, ticket sales are closed by notification on our event page, we will treat any bookings/payment received at that time on a first received basis and return your moneys in full should we not be in a position to fulfil your booking. Withdrawal and Cancellations. You acknowledge that Rafiki Thabo Gala Dinner tickets and places are limited and payment of the ticket fee and reservation of your place has an effect on expenditure of the charity and charity income for the Gala Dinner. As such the ticket fee is non-refundable save that we may at our discretion refund the fee or part or in full in limited circumstances, or allow ticket transfer subject to agreement, as outlined below.

  1. If the event is cancelled by the venue or as a result of government guidelines, such as relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, refunds may be applicable provided that Rafiki Thabo Foundation receive a refund on sums we paid to the venue and other gala dinner contractors;
  2. In the event of guest withdrawal no later than 30 days prior to the event, we will in the first instance check our waiting list and attempt to sell your tickets on your behalf. If we can resell your ticket(s) we will reimburse you for the ticket(s) we can resell once payment has been received from the substitute guest(s). We may also discuss whether you have identified someone who may wish to purchase your ticket(s) from you. In this case, we will require that person to provide their contact details to janne@rafiki-foundation.org.uk, allowing us to facilitate this with them directly. Tickets are otherwise non-transferrable. If tickets cannot be resold, we regret that we will not be in a position to reimburse you for your unused tickets. Any request to withdraw must be communicated to janne@rafiki-foundation.org.uk. We will endeavour to also support a guest with a request to withdraw received less than 30 days prior to the event, but this cannot be guaranteed. In exceptional circumstances, we may at our discretion offer a refund in part or in full for guest withdrawal requests received at any time, if the reason for the request to withdraw is of a of a medical nature.

Change in format, content and/or order of events. In the event of circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control and without incurring any liability whatsoever, Rafiki Thabo Foundation reserves the right to change the format, content and/or order of events without notice.

Tickets include per person 2 glasses of champagne, 3 course dinner, ½ bottle of wine, still & sparkling water, glass of port, coffee and petit fours (‘Champagne table of 10 tickets’ also include for the table 3 bottles of champagne, 10 Table Raffle tickets and premium location by the stage). Further drinks will be available to purchase from the bar in the Court Room throughout the evening, and by waiter service while seated in the Livery Hall for dinner, card payments only.

Guest name(s) and contact details. Please note you are required to provide full name and contact details for each of your guests by no later than 10th October 2022 and we recommend you include this detail at time of booking if known. This information is required for the purpose of issuing tickets, rolling event updates, silent auction participation, table seating plan (including special dietary requirements) and registration on arrival.

Ticket distribution. Tickets will be posted on receipt of full payment to each named guest only, and will not be distributed for any guests that we have not received full name and address details for.
